Andrej Erkelens, our UVA Data Science graduate student, has presented our recent research on "Forecasting County Level Covid-19 Infection and Fatality Rates with Deep Learning" in the poster session for the NSF site review. This work is part of our funded project with Global Pervasive Computational Epidemiology (GPCE).

Our paper "Rank position forecasting in car racing" is accepted to the 21 IEEE International Parallel and Distributed Processing Symposium (IPDPS). It uses a Deep Learning-based model over time-series data to address rank position forecasting in car racing, which is a challenging problem.

We have successfully hosted the STREAM-ML workshop (co-located with the IEEE Big Data Conference 2019). It aims to advance decision-making and control over complex systems by applying machine learning techniques to streams of real-time data. ​It is a successor to the STREAM 2015 & 2016 workshops.
